Context - Operation - History

Project BICCLE (Independent Library of Components for the Design of Educational Softwares) is a project resulting from the reflexion and experiment of its initiator, Patrick Emin.

Context

Today, many educational softwares are used by the teachers within their classes in education.

These various educational softwares cause another approach of education. Using these new tools, the teachers can form rising generation with the use of the data-processing tool. Many of this software are developed in very diverse languages data processing. It results from it from the methods of installation, of setting in network very disparate.

Moreover, except some editors, the software does not share the data pupils, classes, statements and results of the exercises for example.

It is with an aim of facilitating the regrouping of all these data and others, that project BICCLE proposes to intervene. BICCLE is presented in the form of a facilitator, a foundation to help with a greater control in the cycle of development of educational titles.
The purpose of it is to gather all these data so that they can be exploited in an optimal way.

How does that function?

History of the project

The idea of a platform
The starting idea was to build educational softwares. And then with the reflexion, the major need before designing titles is to have a coherent technical platform. It is on this ground that the needs are most obvious.
